Hoost has no partnership with any of these spaces. We list them as a starting point. Opening hours, plans and rates change, so check each space’s own site before you go.

Coworking in Antwerp: day pass, flex desk or monthly plan?

Coworking in Antwerp comes in three main forms. There is the day pass, the flexible or hot desk you share, and the dedicated desk that is yours for the month. Which one makes sense depends on how often you need to leave the apartment.

  • A day pass suits people who work at home most days and want a change once or twice a week. Spaces Nieuw Zuid and Clockwise both show a day pass on their sites.
  • A hot desk plan suits people who go in several days a week but don’t need the same seat. Clockwise calls this its Club Lounge plan.
  • A dedicated desk suits people who want to leave a screen and their things behind. Clockwise includes lockable storage with it.

For a stay of one to three months, a day pass is often the simplest start. You can move to a plan once you know your rhythm.

Do you need coworking in Antwerp if your apartment has a workspace?

You may not need coworking in Antwerp at all if your accommodation has a real desk and a wired connection. Many remote workers only go to a coworking space for meetings, calls with a team, or company on long days.

Every Hoost apartment has a dedicated workspace with Wi-Fi and an Ethernet connection, on a Telenet fibre line in the building. That covers video calls and focused work at home. What we don’t have is a meeting room, so book one at a coworking space when a client visits.

A good pattern for a month: work from the apartment on quiet days, and use a day pass when you need people around you. If you are still deciding between cities, our comparison of Ghent vs Antwerp vs Brussels looks at coworking and trains in each.

How do you get from Antwerp South to a coworking space?

From Antwerp South, trams are the easiest way to reach the coworking spaces in Antwerp. Trams 2 and 6 stop near the Hoost building. Antwerpen-Berchem station is about 3.5 km away in a straight line, and Antwerpen-Centraal about 4.3 km.

Plan your route in the De Lijn app before your first day, and check which stop is closest to the space you choose. Our guide to Antwerp tram lines 2 and 6 explains tickets and how the network works.

If you drive, keep the low-emission zone in mind. The Hoost building is outside it, but the centre is inside it.

Accommodation with a workspace

Hoost has four furnished apartments in one building near Middelheim Park, for stays from 2 nights to 6 months per booking. Each one has a dedicated workspace with Ethernet, so you can work from home and use coworking only when you want to.

The ground-floor apartment has one bedroom, a private garden, its own entrance and air conditioning. It suits one person or a couple who work remotely. The other apartments have two bedrooms, so a second room can serve as a quiet office for two people working at once.

Every apartment has a kitchen, bed linen and towels, and the building has a shared washing machine and dryer. You check in yourself with a lockbox, and we can invoice your company. Send us your dates and we will tell you what is free.

When Hoost is not the right choice

Hoost is not the right choice for every remote worker, and it is fair to say so.

  • You need a meeting room on site. There is none; use a coworking space nearby.
  • You want to walk to a coworking space every morning. From Antwerp South, plan on a tram ride.
  • You need to register your address, for example for a residence procedure. Address registration is not possible during a stay.
  • You need daily cleaning or hotel services. Stays are self-contained.
  • You want more than 6 months in one booking. A longer stay continues with a new booking.
