You want a base in the south of Antwerp: for a fair at Antwerp Expo, a hospital visit, a project or a few quiet weeks. Here is where our building is, what is around it, and how you get into town.

Where is our accommodation in Antwerp South?

Our accommodation in Antwerp South is one building at VIIde-Olympiadelaan 19, 2020 Antwerpen, with four furnished apartments, one per floor. The street sits next to the Olympic Stadium, on the south side of the motorway ring. It is a residential, green part of the city, not a tourist quarter.

Do not confuse it with ’t Zuid, the museum quarter closer to the old centre. Many hotels called “Antwerpen Zuid” are there. We are further south, between the Olympic Stadium, Antwerp Expo and Middelheim Park. For the area itself, read our guide to Middelheim Park and Antwerp South.

What is near accommodation in Antwerp South?

Accommodation in Antwerp South puts you close to the stadium, the fair centre, the park and four hospitals. The table gives straight-line distances from the building (OpenStreetMap, October 2026). Real routes are longer, and we do not quote walking or tram times because we have not measured them.

Distances from VIIde-Olympiadelaan 19 (straight line)

Place Distance Why guests go there
P+R Olympiade about 0.2 km Park-and-ride, end of tram 6
Olympic Stadium about 0.5 km Football matches and events
Antwerp Expo about 1.2 km Trade fairs and events
Ring junction about 1.4 km Motorway ring around Antwerp
Middelheim Park about 1.9 km Park and open-air sculpture museum
ZAS Middelheim and ZAS Paola about 2.1 km and 2.3 km General and children’s hospital, one site
ZAS Augustinus about 2.3 km General hospital in Wilrijk
UZA about 3.4 km University hospital
Berchem station about 3.5 km Trains
Grote Markt about 4.2 km Historic centre
Antwerpen-Centraal about 4.3 km Main railway station

ZAS Middelheim and ZAS Paola share one address, Lindendreef 1, according to ZAS. The Middelheim Museum in the park is free and needs no ticket.

Be honest with yourself about the centre: the Grote Markt is about 4.2 km away. You take the tram, a bike or the car for each trip into the old town.

Getting around from Antwerp South: trams, ring and parking

Getting around from Antwerp South is easiest by tram. Trams 2 and 6 stop near the building. De Lijn runs both lines past P+R Olympiade and Antwerp Expo to Antwerpen-Centraal, about 8 times an hour at peak and 6 off-peak.

Tickets, contactless payment and routes are in our guide to the Antwerp tram. Search the address in the De Lijn app to see the nearest stop at that hour.

By car, the building is a practical base:

  • Outside the LEZ: the building is outside the Antwerp low-emission zone. Driving into the centre inside the Singel does enter it.
  • Ring and Kennedytunnel: the ring junction is about 1.4 km away, the Kennedytunnel about 3.2 km by road. That suits trips to the Left Bank and the south-side employers.
  • Parking: no parking on site and no free street parking. P+R Olympiade, about 0.2 km away, has a low daily rate set by the city. Paid parking is nearby.

Foreign number plates and P+R options are explained in our guide to parking in Antwerp.

Who our accommodation in Antwerp South suits

Our accommodation in Antwerp South suits people who want space, a kitchen and a quiet street rather than a hotel room in the centre. Every apartment has a kitchen, a dining table, a workspace with Ethernet, bed linen and towels. A shared washing machine and dryer are in the building, and companies can ask for an invoice.

All four apartments are in one building at VIIde-Olympiadelaan 19, 2020 Antwerpen. The street is named after the 1920 Olympic Games, held at the Olympic Stadium nearby.

Is Antwerp South the same as 't Zuid?
