Family accommodation in Antwerp at Hoost means a furnished apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a dining table. Three of our four apartments have two bedrooms and sleep up to 4 guests. A cot and a high chair are available on request; ask for them when you send your dates.

What helps most with children:

• Two bedrooms with a door, each with a double bed, so the children can sleep while you sit up.
• A kitchen with cooking basics and a dining table, so meals follow the children’s rhythm.
• A shared washing machine and dryer in the building, handy after a muddy day in the park.
• Bed linen and towels, heating and a TV in every apartment.
• Electricity, heating and water included in the price.

Compared with a family hotel room, you lose the breakfast buffet and the daily cleaning. You gain space, a door between parents and children, and your own fridge.

Which apartment suits your family?

The best apartment for your family depends on how many you are and whether you want outdoor space. For a family of four, our suggestion is the first floor, the only 2-bedroom apartment with a terrace. The second and third floors also sleep 4.

Hoost apartments for families

The first-floor apartment with terrace lets you eat outside on warm evenings. The second-floor apartment is a simple, quiet choice for four. The third floor’s separate toilet helps when four people share one bathroom.

The ground-floor apartment with garden sleeps up to 2 guests. Ask us before you book it with a baby.

Travelling with grandparents or a second family? The three 2-bedroom apartments are in the same building and sleep up to 12 guests together.

Where to stay in Antwerp with family: Antwerp South

Antwerp South is a good base for families who want green space close by and the centre a tram ride away. The building is at VIIde-Olympiadelaan 19, near Middelheim Park. Trams 2 and 6 stop near the building and run to Antwerpen-Centraal, about 4.3 km away in a straight line.

Nearby, measured in a straight line:

• Middelheim Park and its open-air sculpture museum, about 1.9 km.
• The Olympic Stadium, about 0.5 km, and Antwerp Expo, about 1.2 km, for events.

Family stays from a weekend to a few months

Family stays at Hoost run from 2 nights to 6 months per booking. Two nights fit a weekend with the children. A longer stay suits a family between homes, during a renovation or while visiting relatives for a few weeks.

When Hoost is not the right choice

Hoost is not the right choice for every family. Look elsewhere if:

• You are more than 4 and want everyone in one apartment.
• Your children need single beds. Every bedroom has a double bed.
• You travel with a pet. Pets are not allowed.
• You need parking at the building. There is none.
• You want a hotel breakfast or daily cleaning. The apartments are self-contained.
• You want the historic centre at your door. Antwerp South is a tram ride away.
