How do you get to the Olympic Stadium (Beerschot) in Antwerp?
The easiest way to the Olympic Stadium in Antwerp is by tram: Beerschot lists lines 2, 4, 6 and 10. Driving is harder, so the club points to P+R Olympiade and Parking Den Tir. Our accommodation near Antwerp Expo is about 0.5 km from the stadium in a straight line.

You have a ticket for a Beerschot match or an event at the Olympic Stadium, and you are not from Antwerp. You want to know how to get there, where to leave the car and where to sleep afterwards.
How do you get to the Olympic Stadium in Antwerp by tram?
The Olympic Stadium in Antwerp is best reached by tram. On its mobility page, Beerschot lists four lines that serve the stadium: trams 2, 4, 6 and 10. The club asks fans to leave the car at home where possible.
The lines the club names:
- Tram 2: P+R Merksem to Hoboken Zwaantjes, via Antwerpen-Centraal.
- Tram 4: Berchem station to Hoboken Zwaantjes, via Groenplaats.
- Tram 6: P+R Luchtbal to P+R Olympiade, via Antwerpen-Centraal.
- Tram 10: P+R Schoonselhof to Wijnegem.
Trams 2 and 6 are the easiest from the trains, since De Lijn routes both via Antwerpen-Centraal. Beerschot’s table also lists the last departure of each line, which matters after an evening match. Check the De Lijn app on the day, because works can change routes.
Coming on foot or by bike is the club’s other advice. Our guide to the Antwerp tram explains tickets and contactless payment. For everything else nearby, see Antwerp South and Middelheim Park.
Where can you park for the Olympic Stadium in Antwerp?
Parking at the Olympic Stadium in Antwerp is limited. Beerschot says there are few parking options in the Kiel and that paid parking applies in the surrounding streets. A single parking space at the stadium is only available with a hospitality package.
Parking for the Olympic Stadium, as listed by Beerschot
| Option | What the club says | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| P+R Olympiade | 200 spaces, 12 for disabled visitors | Also the end stop of tram 6 |
| Parking Den Tir | Sint-Bernardsesteenweg 314, 340 underground spaces | Maximum height 1.90 m, toilets |
| Stadium car park | Only with a hospitality package | 2 spaces for disabled visitors |
If you do drive, the club’s advice is to arrive early and avoid the streets around the stadium. Check the low-emission zone rules and park-and-ride conditions in our guide to parking and the LEZ in Antwerp. The city sets the current P+R conditions, so check them before you go.
What should you know about the Olympic Stadium before a match or event?
The Olympic Stadium in Antwerp is the home of K Beerschot VA and the main stadium of the 1920 Olympic Games. The Beerschot stadium page gives a capacity of 12,771, all seated and covered since a renovation in 2000.
Not every stand is always open, though. In 2025 the city closed two stands over safety and stewarding concerns. VRT reported in April 2026 that stand 4 could reopen for a home match in May, while stand 2 stayed closed. Check the club’s news before you count on a seat in a given stand.
A little history makes the visit more fun. The stadium hosted the VIIth Olympiad in 1920, two years after the First World War. According to the club, the Olympic flag with the five rings was first presented at these Games, and the Olympic oath was first spoken. The avenue name VIIde-Olympiadelaan refers to those Games.
Football is not the only use any more. In April 2026, VRT reported plans for the stadium’s first event outside football, a long DJ set on the pitch. Watch the organisers’ own channels for future events and dates.
Accommodation next to the Olympic Stadium in Antwerp
Accommodation next to the Olympic Stadium in Antwerp includes the four Hoost apartments, close enough to skip the tram. Our four furnished apartments are at VIIde-Olympiadelaan 19, about 0.5 km from the stadium in a straight line. P+R Olympiade is about 0.2 km away.
What that means on match day:
- No last tram to catch: you do not depend on the timetable after the final whistle.
- Groups: three of the four apartments have two bedrooms, for up to 4 guests each. Up to 14 guests fit in the building.
- Self check-in with a lockbox from 15:00, so you can drop your bags before the match.
- A kitchen in every apartment, handy before or after a long evening.
Stays start at 2 nights, which suits a weekend fixture. If you also want to see the city, read how to spend a weekend in Antwerp. Antwerp Expo is about 1.2 km away too, for visitors combining a fair and a match.
When Hoost is not the right choice
Hoost is not the right choice if you want a single night after the match: our minimum stay is 2 nights. It also does not suit you if you need:
- a parking space on site (there is none at the building);
- hotel services such as a reception or daily housekeeping;
- to bring a pet, or to throw a party after the match (events are not allowed).
Antwerp South is quieter than the centre, which most guests like after a loud evening in the stands. For the wider area, read our guide to staying near Middelheim Park. Send us your dates and the number of guests, and we tell you what fits.
